scaredandstuff,

It's real difficult to give you an accurate evaluation based on those photos however, I don't see any real signs of recession. But you're very young, only 18 and a lot could change over time. What's your family history of hair loss look like?

If you are concerned about hair loss at your young age, I'd recommend consulting a dermatologist or hair restoration specialist who can evaluate your scalp under magnification and perform some additional tests. This will give you a better idea of whether or not you're currently experiencing any hair loss.

If you'd like an idea of whether or not you may experience hair loss in the future, you might want to consider the HairDX test.

scaredandstuff,

So what makes you think you're losing your hair? Do you have any better quality photos that shows the areas you are concerned about?

Typically, hair loss only becomes visually noticeable after a 50% loss of hair in a concentrated area. Thus, it may be a good idea to consult a dermatologist who can evaluate your scalp under magnification.

You look completely safe to me. A great intact frontal hairline. Most guys have sharp corners on the side of the hairline, not rounded as seen in women.

I too have EXTREMELY fine hair (like cobweb) and can see scalp under lights.
