1. Basically Finasteride just prevents your body from reacting to DHT the way you're genetically predisposed to. As long as you're taking it, it'll act as a gatekeeper, keeping DHT at bay. If you've been taking it for 10 years and you stop taking it, what happens is you'll end up losing all the hair that finasteride was holding on for you.

2. I don't believe so. I'll double check with the doc about that though. I know that he's stated that it's best to take it in the morning on an empty stomach before you eat breakfast, and I'll assume the chances are good that you're not having a bloody mary every morning with breakfast so you should be fine there.
