I'll mention once again I shower twice a week (may think that's nasty but I never smell to be honest) and after those showers I apply minoxidil.
The thing that is wierd though is, on the 4th day (this morning) since my last shower my top hair follicles (where it is thinner) hurt like hell! I tried to itch it and it was painful! I thought this was "inflammation" but I'm not sure.
I was wondering if it had to do something with me not taking my Propecia this morning :p I have never missed a dose until today. I took it when I got home though.
So is missing finasteride doses cause this? If so I am NEVER missing a dose!

I've never heard of anyone having scalp pain from stopping Finasteride, even for a day. Typically the only things that people notice when they stop taking the drug are the absence of any side effects they were experiencing, which is usually the reason they stopped taking it in the first place.
Is there any redness or anything else aside from the pain?

That reminds me one time last year I bled from one little spot after a shower. It was probably a hair follicle bleeding. I think I have sensitive skin. I almost ALWAYS bleed when I shave facial hair, like today I bled, but it's nothing major. The follicles stop bleeding after a few minutes, and especially after I'm done showering. I shave once a week and on that day I take one of my showers.
As for a few days ago there was probably some redness but I didn't check to see. I don't have THAT much scalp exposure yet. :p
Just hope I don't lose my hair :(

I'm going to run this by Dr. Rassman, but that doesn't sound typical. I'll see what he says.

I am unaware of scalp pain and people bleeding from hair follicles unless they scratch or pick at them.

Well...
I did happen to stoke my hair many times the night before the day I had the pain, but it wasn't hurting when I was combing it. Only hours later it started to, and this happened only when I scratched it.
Nothing major just wanted to know if it was related to MPB. The fact that it hurt only in areas when I'm thin made me think so.
