It's official (I think). I'm losing my hair. Hopefully it doesn't progress too far. I'm considering trying Propecia.

I still have to actually count the hairs, but I will give commentary for the pictures below...

Here are my comments by zone:


A, B, C -- quite a bit of miniaturization present. Looks like many/most of the hairs have some miniaturization present.

D, E, F -- Some miniaturization, but not that much

G, H -- Hardly any miniaturization

Permanent zones -- I see some miniaturization which is odd to me especially considering my vertex seems to have more density of hair and thicker hair than the "permanent" zones at the side of my head.


From the general pictures, I am definitely receding at the temples. The side of my head was cut short and the hairs are sticking straight out, so I don't think it is as bad as it looks under the harsh lighting.


Does anyone know how to classify me on the Norwood scale? -- Also, in terms of my receding hairline, am I a candidate for Propecia?

It is hard for me to judge which hairs are miniaturized. Can anyone provide some feedback?


The hairs in the front of my head do look a lot lighter than the "normal" dark hairs. It's really hard for me to see a big difference in diameter.
