I predict that DHT has a chance to act on the follicle only after the follicle sheds, so it can get in there and choke it etc.
Could it be true if the follicle never sheds, the follicle will not die naturally? Of course if the follicle must not shed the hairs will not be longer than 1 mm, so the kid's getting a shave maybe twice a day.
I dunno, just a thought.
