Hello Doctor,
A little background. I turn 33 in June. My mother's father, his brother, and 3 of 4 of his sons were bald. All but my grandfather went in their mid 20's, as did my only male cousin from that side of the family. My father's father had very wispy thin hair from the time he was in his 20's but never fully receded. My dad has slightly receding hair (though not as bad as most), his brother's head is full. My 29 yr old brother started to slowly thin in his mid-20's. I thought I escaped the curse after hitting 30 with no visible signs of balding. Just recently my temples and forehead have started to recede more than an inch from my adolescent hairline. I am uncertain if this is simply natural maturation or the onset of phase 3 in the MPB chart. With money being tight I would hate to shell out for what is a natural maturing hairline, unless you thought it was the onset of mpb. My wife says no, but I figured with the family history being what it is I may need a second opinion.
I cropped my hair short for a better view. I appreciate your time, sir.
