Correct me if I'm wrong, but currently the only FDA approved generic version of finasteride is the 5 mg version Actavis is making, right?

Secondly has anyone here tried this yet? Or know how much it costs? I searched but no luck...but if this happens to be cheaper than Proscar I will be saving maybe at least 400$ dollars a year using an FDA approved drug. :) Also is it available in the US?

I meant to type "Actavis" in the title btw :p

I've written about Actavis here (http://www.baldingblog.com/2008/12/10/actavis-makes-generic-5mg-finasteride/).

That should answer your question.
