Am I going bald?

Hello guys over a year or so I have noticed the top of my head becoming lighter. I went to a hair specialist in January and he informed me I had some form of alopecia. This was after he took the miniaturization test on me. He stated it could be treated and restored with some medicine and some laser treatment. At the moment I did not have the funds in order to treat what he states I had. I really wanted a second opinion. Anyways I was hoping maybe you guys could clear this up and let me know if what he suggested is true. I will probably end up going through with the treatment if so. :(

i know how it feels to be diagnosed with alopecia, but i think you should get a second opinion before you start spending excessive amounts of money on treatments.
there are lots of different alopecias and some are temporary!

I wouldn't waste any money on Laser treatments. We haven't found any evidence that they do anything at all.
