HI,
I have been noticing lots of hair in the shower
when I was 18 I started to notice my temples to recede, during this time I also had lots of stress, school, work, financial and etc, but lately I have eliminated my stress.
There is also nobody in my family that lost their hair, they all have full head of hair.
I have posted some pics of my current hairlines
could someone give me opinion of what they think. Its driving me crazy to know if im losing my hair or is it my hairstyle that makes it look like im losing my hair, i currently do a fohawk hairstyle.
Thanks

Definitely receding at the temples.
But a lot of people have that, the thin hair there permanently.
Try another hairstyle maybe? Something the covers it up a bit.
You have thick hair and a lot of it.
Fauxhawks are kind of douchey anyway ;) haha

Hey koko,
First of all, take a DEEP breath and relax! I know it's hard to because I've been in the same situation and from my own experience, I know that worrying about hairloss causes A LOT of stress and depression. So from one man to another, try not to worry because the only thing to fear is fear itself. Don't let this take over your life because it certainly did for me.
I can't really give you the BEST evalution by those pictures since the quality isn't all too great, but just by looking at the pictures your hair looks FINE! Your hair density looks pretty good from the photos and DO NOT worry too much about the receding temples. Most teenage males recede around that age into a MATURE HAIRLINE which is completely normal. Just because you recede in your temples does NOT mean you will lose all your hair!
As for losing hair in the shower, lately I've been having the same issue at the age of 19 so I can definitely help you here and give you some advice. One possiblity is that you shed a lot of hair--which again is normal--and you haven't noticed it until you recently started paying attention to your hair. Another possiblity is that your body is in some form of shock which causes hair follicles to go prematurely into the "dead" state and fall out; but DO NOT worry because they will grow back since it is all a part of the hair growth cyle! What causes this type of shock? The most common would be extreme weight loss (which was for me) and hormonal changes (which could likely be both our cases since we are still maturing and changing).
But honestly, your hair looks great! And since you have no family history of balding your chances of balding are VERY LOW. As of now buddy, try not to worry and just give it some time. We're always here to help you so if you need anything we'll be here for you. And if it's still bothering you, seeing a dermatologist for a examination wouldn't be a bad idea either; that would give you some reassurance too from a qualified professional. So don't worry my man! You're all good :)
Best wishes,
Allen.

like still cold said, dont worry about your temples to much. and i think it would be good for you to google how many hairs a person loses over the course of a day even if they dont have MPB. its a lot so dont measure balding by the hairs you find on you palm in the shower
