Hi friends. Let me tell you my story. I didn't notice anything until September. It was minor and I shrugged it off. I've now noticed my hair doesn't seem to be the same. Going two generations back, my family has excellent genetics. My dad still has his hair and all my cousins and uncles have theirs. I believe my grandfathers went bald around ~45-55. So, is this MPB? I'm confused, lost and and concerned. My diet is good, I exercise, and my stress levels are average. I rarely drink and the only time I smoke is some weed and I do that about once every 2 months. Thank you.

I'm curious about this too, because my hairline looks very similar to yours, especially the forelock. I'm a year older but I didn't notice anything until I was 21 as well.

Hey man, I know this isn't what you want to hear, but if I were you, I would get it checked out. I noticed my hairline looking like yours about a year ago (I'm 22) and shrugged it off. I wish I didn't. I just saw Dr. Rassman and I'm definitely in the early stages of balding. Not saying that it's for sure balding in your case, but you should really get it looked at. All the males on both sides of my family balded in their 30s and 40s and 50s, while my father didn't go visibly bald at all, (he passed at age 50 with almost all of his hair) but I was unlucky enough to get it at my age so it isn't out of the realm of possibility. Dr. Rassman was optimistic about finasteride for me since I am young and have mostly thinning and not much actual loss, and so at least I have the possibility of maintaining my hair for a while.

Get it checked out; it is better to be in the know, than to be in a constant fluctuation between a state of denial and a state of paranoia.

My 2 cents.
