I asked Dr. Rassman to check out the contents of my multivitamin a couple of weeks ago and the answer was posted here:

This should be a working link to multivitamin in question:

Thanks again, Dr. I was very surprised to see my question on the blog!

I'm getting this to Dr. Rassman's attention. Hopefully he'll have time between surgeries to check it out.

Ok, Dr Rassman poked his head in here briefly but he was busy and I couldn't get a detailed answer out of him.
I know this sounds like a cheap plug, but n the book that Dr. Rassman just wrote (http://www.amazon.com/Hair-Replacement-Dummies-Health-Fitness/dp/0470087870) there's a huge section on supplements and things that can cause hair loss. I can't reprint the book here but it's got a lot of good information related to the topic you're bringing up.

Pardon your pun :)
I'll probably buy the book in the future. I have seen many posts on the blog asking about multivitamins, and the consensus seems to be that some vitamins taken in large quantities can cause hair loss. I wondered if maybe there was an ingredient on the list that was questionable. In reality, I'm sure the multi is fine and I wasn't really shedding anymore than normal. My hair was longer at the time so perhaps it was just easier to find more. Thanks for the input, Mark.

Yeah, when I initially brought this up to Dr Rassman I just asked him "how do you feel about multivitamins" and pretty quickly he said "I question anything that says it's providing more than 1000% of your daily recommended intake", so take that for what it's worth.
