Hi everyone, new to the forums, here - I am a 23 year old asian male, and have been noticing my high temples as well as being able to see my scalp in the mirror more and more lately. would like to get your guys opinions on how bad it's going to get.

I'm not sure how to gauge how bad it is compared to before as I only have pictures of myself from roughly 5 years ago at most and it's not like they are close ups of my hair.

something to note is that I have been under some stress lately.. not doing well in school, money troubles and no girlfriend make for much sadness.. and of course noticing potential balding is not helping in the least..
have been eating a lot of junk food and drinking a lot of energy drinks as well, though still maintain a daily exercise routine.

I'm not sure if any of this has any bearing on balding, but any feedback would be great! Thanks!

Hello! You could easily cover that with toppik hair building fibers. well I had a patch like you have now some years ago and it has only gotten worse as the years passed by. I'm not a doctor but to me that looks like Male Pattern Baldness. I usually shave my head and when I want to grow it out I just use some topikk to cover it.

Good luck m8

Thanks for the reply, steve! Looks kinda pricy, but looks like it may be worth it. Does toppik come out of your hair easily, and can you use gel or hair putty with it?

Yes it comes easily out of your hair when you take a show. you can also use gel with it :)... But it's no a solution for balding but it helps you abit

Check the FAQ. Stress can cause hair loss that is not permanent. The first thing you need to do is actually determine whether you're losing your hair due to stress or whether you have MPB.

Thanks for the replies guys!

I think I'll hold off on the hair fiber paste for now.

Still not sure that I'm balding - a dermatologist I saw said that I may have some early signs of male pattern baldness, and suggested that I start rogaine if I'm worried.

I asked my hair dresser and she said that I most likely have thinning due to my receding temples. She recommending that I stop wearing hats and using gel, as well as to expose my head to more sunshine.

I'm hesitant to use rogaine after reading a few nightmare stories of increased shedding from use, but I've defintely been trying to take better care of my hair in other ways.
I've been shampooing, conditioning and massaging my scalp in the shower, and have been eating slightly better (i.e. more fruits and veggies, lean proteins, and taking biotin and fish oil supplements).
