Greetings -
Had my first transplant last Friday afternoon and think it went well. One thing I was concerned about was the warning to avoid high blood pressure in the first couple days after surgery. When that warning is issued, does it take sustained high blood pressure (i.e. playing sports) for these incidents to happen, or can it happen from just momentary spikes? Case in point, and this might sound ridiculous, but I was awoken out of a dead sleep the second night after my surgery (Saturday night/Sunday morning) by my condo's fire alarm, which naturally raised my heart rate/blood pressure a bit for at least a few minutes after it startled me awake. Can that cause grafts to come out?
Obviously I don't know if it actually did or not at the time because I still had the post-surgery cap on that wasn't to be removed until the next day, and when I did remove it, I didn't see anything that suggested any popped out. But are there any tell-tale signs of a "popped graft" on the scalp itself?
Thanks,
Evo
