Hi Mark,

I have been suffering from hair loss for the last 2 years or more. I am currently 29.

First I tried Finasteride (1.25mg) daily with no success after 6 months, then I have moved onto Dutasteride (0.5mg) for the last 10 months, still with no results.

The hair loss is most noticeable around the hairline and the temples. I did the HairDX test and it tells me I have a 30% chance of MPB and 30% chance of Finasteride being responsive. The results don't really tell me anything definite, whether I have MPB for sure or not.

I have had a hair mineral test and it seems like I am low on a few minerals which I am currently taking suppliments for. The mineral levels were slightly lower than average for iron, magnesium, copper, chromium, but I don't believe this could be the cause of my hairloss.

I've had a blood test for liver and thyroid and they came up fine.

From what I have told you, do you think I have MPB? is there another form of hairloss where the person will lose hair from the hair line and temples if it is not MPB?

I'm just really concerned because both drugs are not working as it has been 16 months since Finasteride and I'm just really curious whether I am treating my condition with the correct medication.

I know they say drugs are usually only good for the vertex area, but I have heard that many people have had a good response to the hair line too. I'm not sure what will happen if I suddenly stop the medication - whether i will start to lose more from the vertex area

Any help will be appreciated

Thanks

If this is happening with you than it is better to consult a doctor for hair loss treatment as he will going to suggest you even more better, with what medications are suitable with your conditions.

It is really strange to know that you were taking doses of Propecia and it was not effective for you, did you took this with another medicine or you are taking this only. as, it should not taken with any other medicine.

Juct consult with a doctor first and if in case he suggest you to take Propecia then you can buy propecia online too.

Thanks
