What level of minaturization should trigger start of Finasteride?

Thanks to Dr Rassman for your informative site and endless blogging updates. I have mapped my scalp using your online guide, which shows I have a 15-25% miniaturization across all the zones. I'm a Norwood 2.

My question is when would you recommend starting finasteride? Start early now or wait until further loss?

I think convention says that as Finasteride is mainly for prenveting further loss, the earlier the better? Certainly if you have significant miniaturisation I would think so. I'm sure one of the Admins will join in and help further?

If you feel that you're losing hair, then that's the best time to start it. The side effects are extremely minimal and it's best to take it as early as possible.
