I am a 19 year old and I have very fine curly hair... or so ive been told. When my hair is longer it looks much thicker but i find there are still areas where i can see my scalp. However when its short i get worried. I dont seem to have a receding hair line it just seems extremely thin on top. I dont find that im loosing abnormal amounts of hair but im still paranoid any advice. (pics attached)
PS
These pictures were taken under a quite bright light i donno if that matters but ya :(

Maybe you arnt living healthy enough. If you think its been like this for a while, maybe start supplying your hair with nutrients, like herbs that help hair growth and strengthing it and what not. Look it up

I would rule out mpb as I cannot identify the usual pattern! You might be dealing with a telogen effluvium.. Since you don't remember any form of severe stress lately my guess would be the same as someone else said before: malnutrition. Try eating more healthy food. And correct! vitamin b12 deficiency is related to hair problems so try to introduce food which has B group vitamins... Cereals, meat, milk and fruit!

GO see a dermatologist and mention Nizoral and Diprolene to him/her. See what the doctor thinks.

I will do that and come back with my results I really hope it helps. My brothers and dad all have full curly heads of hair and my hair is curly when its longer but it just lays flat down on the scalp, even when its long i can see areas of my scalp I just don't understand

my scalp also appears to be a little red? does this mean anything
It does look pretty thin. I'd do a miniaturization test and compare the donor area on the back of your head with the thin area on top. That would be a good way to see if you've got TE, which you may have because that's a pretty odd pattern.
Unfortunately, there really isn't any cure for TE. Usually we try to get people on Finasteride to see if it helps, but it doesn't help much in most people, but occasionally it does work. Something to think about.

Mark could you perhaps explain to me what TE is exactly I dont quite understand
This is a quick search. (http://www.google.com/search?q=telogen+effluvium&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a) I don't have a whole lot of time to write a big post about it at the moment, so I'd just read through some of those links and get a feel for it.
