I'm a 20-year-old Korean male and starting from last year when I was a sophomore in college, I suspected that I was maybe losing some hair.

Ever since I was really young, my forehead was really small because it was practically covered with hair and I used to complain that I wanted to have a wider forehead like other people (not anymore lol).

I seem to be losing hair on my crown and the corners of my front forehead.

My father is 53 and has all his hair; he is probably considered to have a mature hairline, but for the most part, you wouldn't suspect that he's losing hair or balding at all.

My father's father is pretty bald. He has almost no hair on the top of his head and has the typical case of MBP where you have hair on your sides and back but nowhere else.

My mother's father has all his hair; he shows no signs of MBP at all. As for my uncles on both sides, I can't really tell whether they're balding at all, as I haven't seen most of them in years.

As for my case, whenever I take a shower (I use nizoral, which I originally purchased for dandruff), I'll notice strands of hair at the drain. Over the summer, I sometimes got lazy and showered maybe 3-4 times a week, and there were noticeably greater amounts of hair at the drain. Now that I'm back at school and showering everyday, the number of hairs I see is smaller; but then again, at home, we used a hair catcher so it wouldn't let any hairs go down the drain. Here at college, we have no hair catcher, so I can't really know if some of my hair is simply going down the drain, making it seem as if I'm losing less hair than I really am.

I do notice that some of my hairs at the front of my forehead are thinner than the rest of my hair. As for my crown, I can't really tell how thin the hairs are since they're at the back of my head.

When I'm applying gel to my hair after showering (not that much), I'll see 4-5 strands of hair fall out on to the sink top as I'm adjusting my hair. Some of them are regular strands; some seem to be extremely thin. Most of them have their roots attached.

Based on what I can see and tell, I'm pretty sure I'm beginning to enter the early stages of MBP, but my family and friends keep telling me that I'm overreacting and not to worry about it.

My lifestyle isn't all that stressful. I work out frequently and take multivitamins, fish oils, joint supplements, and protein shakes everyday. I don't eat particularly unhealthy food.

Attached are pictures of my forehead and my crown. I'm pretty sure I'm balding, but I want to hear your guys' input as well.

Thanks, and sorry for the long read if you made it this far!

dude, your hair looks exactly like mine beside the corner of your frontal hairline is "deeper" back. My crown looks exactly the same, and i have took pictures like 3 months ago, and it still look the same now.

My hair pictures. I am considering propecia, but I am still in college and i don't want to spend money on it yet, I don't even have insurance for derm doctor visits, I would probably start propecia after i finish college, that's like 2 more years. I am 20 as well.

Looks normal to me. (crown area) You have black hair and fairly whitish skin. This makes your skin shimmer through much more. You hairline looks also normal to me. Mark will double check this however.

It sounds from your description that you're probably just getting a mature hairline. Is there any other reason you might think that you're losing hair?

Just the fact that my forehead hairline seems to be thinning and that it looks like I'm developing the M-shaped hairline.

Also, my crown LOOKS like it's losing hair.

Maybe I'm just overreacting, but I plan on getting a free consultation within the next week or so to reach a conclusion.
