I was wondering in a were to take Propecia for a year or two and saw good results and no further loss...would it be wise to consider a transplant procedure to reestablish my hairline.
I am 21 now and would like to consider getting a procedure done no sooner than about 18 months from now or even when I'm 23 or so....

I am currently a Norwood 2...forming a slight widows peak...I have a very thick donor area possibly 3's and 4's...

is it worth considering at all or more importantly will it be worth while long term?

Finally what the possibility of hair cloning coming out in the next 5-10 years?

Thanks a lot i have a lot of questions

Thanks again for your time

Regarding hair cloning: There might be the chances that in your lifetime you might be able to consider this option. However this procedure is still in its baby shoes. If I quote many experts regarding this: I would not expect it within the next 10 years. However studies show that the chances are good that one day it will be available to the public.

Hi Brian,

If you're planning to get a hair transplant in your life, it's best to get it earlier rather than later for obvious reasons. It's easier to cover up a smaller loss of hair than a greater one. The thing that you have to remember is that if you get a transplant, you'll need to continue taking finasteride for the rest of your life because you don't want to continue balding past where your transplant ends.

As far as hair cloning goes, as Lain said it's still in the beginning stages. No real date for when it might be viable as a real option.
