I would be happy if this forum would grow in popularity, having that said I don't think "provillius adds" and offtopic sections as "sport forum" has any logic reason to be here.
I don't understand why this forum needs to have advertisements, but if you still must have it, turn down Adwords and only go for quality sponsors, perhaps Newhair would be interested :D
Keep up the good solid work!

noted. I'll kill the top ad for now and as for sports... well, i'm open to suggestions.

We need some advertising to help offset the costs of running the forum. As Jason said he's going to kill the top ad but we'll probably end up keeping some for now unless we can find an alternate funding solution.
As far as the sports forum and the off topic forum, well, those types of forums help draw new members here. Also, it's pretty much inevitable that once membership grows here, people are going to want to talk about more than just hair loss so we though it would be a good idea to have a forum where they could do those things, rather than posting off-topic stuff in say, the hair loss sections.
Basically we've been running the blog for a long time now and while it's got a lot of people reading it and asking questions, it's also a really one-way site. Dr. Rassman writes posts and you guys read them.
With the forum we wanted to make it more of a two way street that's member-centric. We want to empower you guys to ask questions, give other people answers and talk about your own experiences, but also have doctors here that can be authorities on the matter.
The forum is still new but we're doing our best to get more people here and make this more of a community. We have a lot of new ideas that we're going to be implementing here to make this forum a really useful site, and we're making all these plans in the hopes of being able to empower the users here as much as possible.

Thanks so much, we're really working hard here to make this a great place for readers, and we absolutely appreciate the kind words and helpful criticism.

I hope this forum can contribute with something new. Not sure what it could be, all forums tend to go downhill after a while.

Webhosting isn't, or at least shouldn't be, expensive at all. Perhaps you mean that the people administrating the forum should be paid and yes, why not, as long as the quality remains high.

We are trying to be unique here. It sounds like you've been around on different hair-related forums on the internet for a while. What would you like to see that would make this forum more relevant to you?

I think you should focus on those areas you really master, online analyse of miniaturization is one such area. Perhaps more in depth info about hair transplantation.

Yeah, we're really working hard trying to get this miniaturization stuff worked out and finalized so that you guys can accurately gauge your own hair loss the way we do here.
What kind of in-depth info would you want to know about hair transplantation?

I think that if you continue on the way you are presently doing with this forum, then this site can only go from strength to strength in my opinion. You have professionals willing to answer questions, provide information and explain various aspects, your forums cover every major aspect of hair loss imaginable and you also have a seperate forum for general relaxation and chit-chat. What more could we ask for in all honesty? Keep up the good work everyone.

I agree with Nathan, you run a good, clean looking forum with lots of members contributing regularly, an making useful contributions.
I occasionally pop over to a couple of others, and some of them are just dominated by older users arguing with eachother, and people advertising products, it's terrible!
If you need a top banner Ad go for it, especially if it's static (my connection's a bit slow so I'd appreciate nothing flashy!) I don't see a problem, I don't have to click on it and it makes you money so you can carry on.

Thanks a bunch. We're really trying to make this a worthwhile forum to be a part of. I think the biggest thing right now is to try and get everyone to start posting more. While I try to answer as many questions as I can, I think the sign of a good community is not a single person being the face of the forum, but for everyone as members to contribute.
