Just wondering with those who experience regrowth on finasteride.

I would assume the regrowth would be miniaturized hairs which have 'rethickened' and gotten larger and stronger when blood flow increases.

Would it be reasonable to say that miniaturized hairs would fall out and be replaced by thicker stronger hairs?

Since being on finasteride I have noticed miniaturized hairs falling out that I have never noticed before (i am a NW 2) and realise i may have become more observant of my hair loss since being on finasteride but would my assumptions be on the money in terms of replacement of hair? Miniaturized hairs began falling out about 1.5months into treatment.

I know I am fishing for a reasuring answer but just curious.

"It has been suggested by some doctors that shedding can be explained, because acceleration of a hair cycle occurs. Hairs in the growth phase are pushed into a telogen phase (which means that it will have some shedding). The suggestion then is that the growth phase comes in stronger. This is the idea of others, so I am just passing what I hear, not what I know as fact."

Considering that this statement is a fact miniaturized hair falls out and regrows thicker in some cases with Propecia. Some people claim if you shed miniaturized hair that this is a sign that Propecia works for you. This statement however you have to be very careful with since this is not proven if I understand it correctly. I guess you should be the one to tell us in about 4 months.
