rogaine and noixin

hello all hope everybody is doing fine .I have started using rogaine on the crown part of my head i has been like a month now but dont see any difference .I was reading online that it take more than 4 months for rogaine to make any difference .Plus i have been using Nioxin shampoo for like a year now does nioxin help or it make things even worse .Thanks in advance


How long does it take rogaine to start working ?i mean to say that i can see some difference :)

For the nioxin part I would like to quote Dr Rassman from the balding blog:

"Nioxin is a shampoo / hair / beauty product. It does not grow hair."

So answering your question: It does not make things worse or better. Shampoos have actually only a value in cleaning your hair and your scalp.

For the results of rogaine you may clearly wait 1 year to see any regrowth. But don't expect too much as I really want to hear someone claiming that he restored many terminal hairs (hair that has potentials of covering your bald areas) from it. Usually it just gives you baby hair and maintains existing hair. (note: this is my personal experience - clinical trials have proven that rogaine can also grow terminal hairs)

I don't want to sound like being a sales representative from Merck (a pharmacy corp) but I would swap Minoxidil with Propecia or probably even better, add Propeica to your battle against hair loss. But better talk about that with a real doctor.
