Hello everyone!

My name is Mark and I'm one of the Administrators of this site. I want to help you get the most out of these forums. Hopefully this thread will provide you with some really basic information to help you better navigate the forums and really get the most out of them. I've gone ahead and created a youtube video showing (in typical grainy Youtube fashion) basically everything I've written below.

Posting new threads.

Creating new threads (discussion topics) is easy as pie. Simply go to the forum you want to post a topic in, click the "New Thread" button in the upper left hand corner, and you're on your way.

Responding to threads is equally easy. If you want to reply to someone in a thread and show what they wrote in your reply, click the "quote" button in the lower right corner of their post. If you want to just reply to the thread quickly, you can use the "quick reply" box at the bottom of the page for lightning fast replies.

Posting photos.

Some of you may want to post before and after photos to show off your results. There are a few different ways to post photos but I find this to be the best.

You'll first want to upload photos from your computer to the forums. To do this, click the "quick links" button at the top of the page and select "Pictures & Albums".

In this area of the site you can create albums and upload photos to those albums. Click the "new album" button in the upper left corner of the screen, create a title and description of the album, then click submit. Then, upload photos to the album by clicking the "upload photos" button. Click the "Browse" buttons to find photos on your computer and upload them to the site. Once your photos are uploaded here, you can add them to posts that you make on the site using the "bbcode" link that is below the photo. Or you can just link people to your gallery so they can browse your photos whenever. Albums can be made public so that everyone can see them, or private so that only you can see them.

Here's an example of a photo I uploaded to an album in my profile.

Changing your personal information.

Your profile is what people first see about you on the site, so fill it with a lot of good information.

Click the "user CP" button on the upper left side of the screen. In here you can edit all your personal information, change or add a profile picture and avatar (the photo next to your name in your posts on this site), receive and send private messages, and a whole host of other things. Take a little time to personalize your profile so it really says something about you.

That's about it for now. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to post something in this forum or PM me directly. You can do that by clicking my name at the top of this post and selecting "send a private message to Mark".

Good luck!

-Mark
