Propecia stopped MPB but still shed miniaturized hairs!

I'm almost 23 years old and been on Propecia for almost a year. My MPB is early and in the front. It seems that my hair is about the same since I started Propecia so I guess the medication halted my hair loss. But still whenever I shower or style my hair I tend to lose miniaturized hairs. Some are really short and thin. How come my hair looks about the same but I still lose miniaturized hairs? I mean won't I eventually start noticing less hair on my head or what? I thought if Propecia stops MPB it will lock most of your miniaturized hairs!?

It's normal for people to lose about 100-150 hairs a day, even if they have no MPB. So if you're seeing hair in the shower that's not necessarily an indication that finasteride isn't working for you.

I know it's normal to lose 100-150 hairs a day but if I still lose miniaturized hairs like isn't that a bad sign? I know they tend to grow back slowly and the short ones probably never!

Finasteride isn't a 100% cure. Everyone will respond a little differently to it. The idea is that it will keep the majority of your hair for sure, but it's rare that it will stop everything 100%.

I understand Propecia ain't the cure but it seems that most men retain their hair for about 5 years. So I guess it does stop it 100% for that time or what!?

There's nothing for sure in medicine. Some people see hair regrowth from using propecia. Some people don't. Some people have great results from propecia, some people dont' see anything. Some people have side effects, some don't.

Nobody can tell you exactly how propecia is going to work with your body chemistry, especially me. Generally, people tend to see most of their hair retained while using finasteride.
