Is rogaine effective only for the vertex or should be even applied on the front of the head and temples?

It's only been shown to be effective by the FDA in the vertex and crown, however there is a lot of anecdotal evidence of it working in the hairline for some people.

If you decide to apply it to other areas of the scalp, just be sure not to apply too much.
