Well guys, I am from India and have been experiencing hair loss for the past year or so. Wel, let me give you a history of whats really happened. I had extremely thick year, say a year and a half from now. Such that my mom used to tease me that i had two hairs coming out of each follicle. Anyways,i was kinda healthy and lost a few pounds over a period of 6 months. then early next year, owing to study pressure i was under a lot of stress and thats when i realized that i was losing hair. It was horrendous, i was losing hair left right and centre and a single brush would yield more than 20 hairs. The shedding however stopped and left me with pretty thin hair which also changed in texture. I was landing into a phase which I had never experienced before.

I never had a single hair fall off over the past two years, and experiencing such hair loss really put me in severe trauma. To top it all, i had my eyebrows falling off too.

Updates now:-

My eyebrows came back thicker and glossier than ever before.

hair loss has ceased considerably but am still experiencing hair loss to a certain extent. I would say about 15-20(i had none a year back) hairs everyday.
My temples had receded considerably during that time, but now the temples have pretty much come back to shape. The left temple is in a better position that the right , but i confess that they have recovered pretty well.

my hairline had not receded but had thinned considerably, and over the past few days, i do notice that a lot of small hairs are coming up and the hairline has thickened too.

My crown is pretty well placed too. The back part is extremely thick.

But my problem is with the vertex o the middle region. I seem to lose hair only from this region. The middle part has thinned and i can see my scalp when wet(under strong light). A tug is enough to pull out a couple of hairs from this region. Unlike my frontal part, this region doesnt seem to have any regrowth as such. What may be the problem??

I dont have dandruff, but my scalp pains a bit hen the hair is tugged, giving me the impression that theres something wrong with the scalp. Adding to it, the weather here in summer is pathetic to say the least with extrrmely high temperatures and humid climate. now, i cant seem to let go of the fact that i started losing my hair at precisely this time of last year and if I will keep losing hair...

I have been under depression for a few months now and dunno what to do. Even though new hair seems to grow, i still am ill at ease with the amount of hair coming out of the middle regions.

P.S. The hairs that come out are pretty healthy but have a white hard kinda thingy at the end. Is it cause for concern??

To be honest with you, it sounds like you may be having stress-related hair loss. Also, 15-20 hairs is actually much less than what is normal in people without any balding problems.

If it is stress related, a small increment in stress levels shall lead to more hair fall?? Also i see that more hair seems to fall from the left part of my head than my right.
How do i know I am balding?? i have many new hairs in my forehead and they seem pretty healthy. my crown is very thick with minimal loss, but i am a bit concerned of the sides.
pulling my hair in some parts results in hair loss. Its starting to worry me now.

Also my hair seems to get greasy but is pretty soft. is hair loss possible due to excessive grease in hair? As i said, my hair line is not receding and nor my crown is thinning. Its a few ares which seem to be affected.

Hair loss usually happens while your in depression or taking a lot of stress. Also doctors have said that hair loss happens when you take too many pills.
