Hello everyone, I have a question about my hairline. I'm 25 years old and have had the hairline in the picture below since I was 19 (at about 19, my hairline changed). I don't notice any hairs in the drain, but If I shampoo my hair and run my hands through my hair vigorously I notice about 10-15 hairs on my hand. My hair is still very thick all over. In the picture below, I had a haircut five days before. The barber used a buzzer for my entire head. So my question is, looking at my temple hairloss should I visit a doctor and get on drugs? Or, do you think this is simply a 'maturing hairline.' No one has ever mentioned hairloss to me, but I have noticed a change in my hairline from my younger days. Thanks for all your help!

Family history:

My dad is 65 and has a full head of hair (doesn't even have any gray hairs). My dad's father never really had any hair (I have a picture of him at 25, and he literally has a few strands of hair). My dad is an only child. My mother's father died at a young age, but had a full head of hair when he died. My mother's brother has a slightly receded hairline at the age of 62.

Hi FriendlyGuy,

I think your hair looks perfectly good. It's completely normal to see the amount of hair you do in the shower, especially after vigorously rubbing your head, and it's probably just your hairline maturing.

Hi Mark, thanks for answering my first post. Another question: I ordered the Celestron handheld microscope, and took a few pictures of various parts of my scalp (posted below). Do you see any miniaturization? Just wanted to make sure. Thanks again for your help!

By the way, it was really difficult finding any scalp because of the thickness of my hair.
