Regaine (Minoxidil)

I have ordered a 1 month supply of this today and am planning on trying to use it to combat the frontal area hair loss i have experienced. Has anyone else used it on that area as some sources say its not intended for use there? Does anyone know the reason for this?

This goes for propecia as well, after the product your using starts to lose effectiveness after a certain number of years, as I've seen Dr Rassman write about in the blog, will still using it ensure you don't lose hair quickly or will it be apparent that it isn't doing anything for you and you should just stop?
