I was wondering whether anyone knows about the FDA study conducted in Korea regarding the use of Dutasteride as a hair-loss treatment.
It's been difficult to find updated info on the current status of that process.

Thanks!

Rodrigo

I'm not very sure about it, but does the FDA do studies in other countries? Or are you saying the Korean equivalent of the FDA did a study?

EDIT: I also found this post on the blog about Dutasteride in Korea. (http://www.baldingblog.com/2007/06/22/why-test-dustasteride-in-korea/)

Thanks for the feedback, Mark. I got the impression the FDA was involved in those trials after reading this post:

Maybe I misunderstood it?

Cheers,

Ah, I missed that! Looks like you understood it perfectly. When I get in the office Monday I'll ask Dr. Rassman if he's heard anything about it.

The study I believe you are talking about is a study paid for by the drug manufacturer through a Korean FDA contractor. The results are not public yet.

Thanks for the feedback, Dr. Rassman. Because it's been a while since I first heard about that study, I imagined the results would have been published by now.

I've already been on Avodart for just over 4 years. Can't say whether it is more effective than Proscar 5mg once a day (which I was on before switching to Avodart). I can defiinitely say that I have had no side effects that I am aware of.

I can recommend a reputable pharmacy (Dutasteride) popularpills-online.com (http://popularpills-online.com/buy-avodart-usa.html?wm=11492&tr=8027) I recieved my pills within one week of ordering them.
