I'll be dead honest. This thing is a pain in the arse, geez...

It took me about an hour just to get it working and taking pics was even harder...

Not only is it hard to focus, you can't press "click" without shaking it enough to make the image blurry. I had to take multiple pics to get a sharp picture. The focuser(sp?) is a piece of a$$. Good Christ I never had to exert so much effort just to get something to turn. It gets stuck sometimes for I don't know what reason.

The price of this thing should be halved for it's craptastic usability.

...video quality is good though. I was shocked.

Anyway I thought I might as well show my evaluation here.

Notice the slight red color. I think it's inflammation.

Left Temple

Again, red.

What's interesting I'll note is that my SIDES are redder than anything else...even though I feel no inflammation there. Wierd. Probably just the product quality.

Hey Kinky!

Glad you were able to get it working right. I know how things can be, and believe me we looked at a bunch of different digital microscopes before we chose this one, and it was honestly the best. Especially for the price. The ones we use in the office are better, but they cost several times more.

With a little practice though, we've found that most people can get used to its quirkiness.

I think my focuser was just extra crappy. I almost broke a nail. :p

But I've come to appreciate this thing. This will save me money in the long run because it'll help me see what I need and don't need for treatment. If it tells me I'm getting better, awesome. If it says I'm maintaining, oh well. If I'm losing, maybe I should updose my minoxidil usage (meaning more than 2x a week like I am currently doing), but, that ain't gonna be easy.

The first pic is 400x magnification of a hair root after it appeared in my comb. I call this DHT coccoon. the color is misleading though since my finger is behind it and it caused it to look that way. the shaft is actually brown and the stuff at the end is white.

jk...my dad told me it was a result of dandruff and/or sebum having developed on it. This makes sense since this is how one looks like after I take the white stuff off:

This is how it was before:

Ok facial hair

Thicker than even my back and side hair according to the other pics, and as you can see the colors are pretty inconsistent...holy **** they look like cables or something!

Hi I'm back...thought those pics would catch people's interests lol.

I have come to say the following...and it's official.

I am quitting minox, for the following reasons.

Well to start, it is very time consuming (I know it will be hard to believe I spend about 3 hours in the bathroom applying it everywhere I'm likely to get worse in, for each application, but it is the truth) in addition, it is also very tiring for my body. Now of course, if I had one millimeter shafts on my head the applying minox will take less than a minute, but due to all the hair I have (lots of hair doesn't necessarily equate to something good, because they are not that thick to be honest) it is very hard to apply quickly. I have to part my hair about 20 times overall to get minox everything it needs to go (parting is also very hard to do since my hair is curly/knotty and I have to part almost perfectly so that when minox does run down the row, it doesn't get off track). Afterwards, I would rub it in with my fingers, and sometimes I have to apply twice for each row since some of the minox tends to get in my hair no matter what I do.

I compare that with putting a friggin pill in my mouth....a world of differences. No sexual side effects from it either. I'm wondering who here, thinks that no sexual side effects from Propecia means it's NOT doing it's job? Or not doing it good enough?

So this is it, and I updated my regimen accordingly. I will finish my last amount of minox though (better to use it than throw it away...), and after the last application I will post scans of my head, and this will be my very first miniaturization comparison (first pics I took were the ones on this page, from my scalp not from my face LOL).
